Worldwide Conservation Starts at Home.
The St Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park works with other zoos and organizations around the world to ensure the survival of the many species in our collection. By maintaining thriving breeding populations of endangered animals in zoos and aquariums, vital research can continue that may result in policies and targeted legislation to save wild populations. In fact, research and public awareness initiatives at facilities like The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park contributed to the incredible recovery of the American alligator, a species driven to the brink of extinction by overhunting and habitat loss. Today, as exotic species in even the most remote corners of the world suffer from habitat loss, overexploitation and environmental pollution, our conservation efforts are more important than ever.
